Tears was a project at UPenn that initially aimed to be a short film exploring love, mental health, psychedelics, and time travel, inspired by Euphoria, Interstellar, and Belladonna of Sadness. Though the film was scrapped, it evolved into the podcast Stitched With Love, which weaves together art, passion, and human connection. The project also delved into elementary language learning, spirituality, and wellness, analyzing the intersection of AI and therapy.
As the creator and driving force behind Tears, I took on multiple roles, including writer, director, and conceptual lead. Initially envisioned as a short film, the project required collaboration with filmmakers, scriptwriters, and visual artists to bring its themes of love, mental health, psychedelics, and time travel to life. When the film was ultimately scrapped, I pivoted the project into Stitched With Love, a podcast that maintained the original vision of exploring human connection through storytelling and music.
To achieve this, I worked closely with musicians like Jonathan Pantalone and James Delia, as well as sound engineers and editors, to craft an immersive auditory experience. Additionally, the project’s focus on AI and therapy led me to collaborate with researchers and individuals passionate about mental health, spirituality, and education. My background in alternative learning and holistic wellness also played a significant role in shaping the themes of the podcast.
The outcome of Tears was the successful launch of Stitched With Love, which transformed the initial concept into a dynamic and heartfelt series of conversations and musical explorations. The first episode, recorded at Rag Rock Hill Park, set the stage for future episodes that continue to weave together stories of art, healing, and human connection. The project also resulted in media recognition, including my interview and photography feature in Quake magazine, highlighting my experiences and the broader impact of my creative work.
